Michael Reed's experiences growing up in a Cajun family, as an administrator and technician, along with being a husband and homemaker gave him the ability to transfer commonplace situations into side-splitting comedy.

He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Louisiana. "...I come from a large Cajun Catholic family. My mother is the baby of fourteen (14) children. My grandparents didn't have cable or a hobby. Well, they had a least one hobby!"

He attended Louisiana State University and Southeastern Louisiana University, majoring in nursing. "...I quit after two years. I didn't mind the little hat, but the pantyhose drove me crazy!"

His facial expressions and gestures (all done with a Cajun flair), along with dapper stage presence, became his trademarks.

Michael appeared on Showtime and A&E's "Comedy On The Road."

He was a winner of "The Funniest Person in Louisiana" and always a crowd-pleaser.

Michael Reed will be missed.
